my approach
I consider it a great gift to walk beside my counseling and therapy clients as they ask tough questions, wrestle with acceptance and take up the challenge of changing. Working with me as your therapist involves exploring past life experiences, patterns of relating to others, and current emotional distress to promote insight, increased flexibility and growth.

relational psychodynamic therapy
As of May, 2025 I have completed specialized post-graduate training and earned a certificate in relational psychodynamic therapy (RPT) from the Contemporary Psychodynamic Institute.
Relational psychodynamic therapy is rooted in depth psychology and in the understanding that we are formed in relationship, harmed in relationship, and healed in relationship. This therapy modality encourages a deeper understanding of one’s emotions, behavior patterns, and mental processes. You’ll gain greater insight into unconscious motivations that sometimes influence how you think, feel and act.
Working from a RPT perspective means cultivating a stance of curiosity, mindfulness and compassion toward all parts of ourselves. I find relational psychodynamic therapy to often be the most fruitful approach for modern-day people and their struggles.
How is relational psychodynamic therapy different than other therapeutic modalities?
RPT promotes self-reflection, insight and emotional growth – uncovering defenses or protections while healing from childhood wounds you may not even been aware of – and prioritizing the therapeutic relationship to promote insight into your style of relating to others. It is focused on the expression of core emotions, which are often blocked by anxiety and unconscious defenses. There are then worked through in our relationship.
Do you only use relational psychodynamic therapy?
No. I am trained in multiple evidenced based psychotherapy models, and borrow from Internal Family Systems and Jungian Psychology for example, and each has its strengths. I tailor the therapy experience to you and our relationship.
How often do we meet?
We start out meeting once each week. This frequency of time together is important in building our relationship.
How long is a session?
Sessions are 50 minutes.

I have helped people overcome anxiety and depression, fight addiction, pick up the pieces after traumatic experiences and everything in between. Together we can set realistic, attainable goals so we can work together towards a life worth living.
I spent my formative years growing up overseas in the middle east, traveling and experiencing different cultures. I love spending time with my family in and around Oklahoma City and the rest of gorgeous Oklahoma. I also enjoy photography, gardening, singing and anything else that takes me outdoors.
