my approach

I consider it a great gift to walk beside my counseling and therapy clients as they ask tough questions, wrestle with acceptance and take up the challenge of changing. Working with me as your therapist involves exploring past life experiences, patterns of relating to others, and current emotional distress in order to promote insight, increased flexibility and growth. 

Our goal isn’t simply a remission of symptoms…

Therapy is about learning to truly live:

  • To learn to grapple honestly with the problems that arise when you decide to truly live.

psychodynamic therapy

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have extensive training in multiple evidence-based psychotherapy models, and borrow from Jungian Psychology and the work of C.G. Jung. I find psychodynamic therapy to often be the most fruitful approach for modern-day people and their struggles.

Psychodynamic therapy is a form of talk therapy which encourages a deeper understanding of one’s emotions, behavior patterns, and mental processes. You’ll gain greater insight into unconscious motivations that sometimes influence how you think, feel and act.

We promote self-reflection, insight and emotional growth, uncovering defenses or protections while healing from childhood wounds you may have not even been aware of.

The psychodynamic approach to therapy and counseling works to cultivate a stance of curiosity, mindfulness and compassion toward all parts of ourselves.

One of the things that matters most to me is that you and I are able to forge a relationship together, because that is the crux of successful therapy. It can only work if it's tailored to you –  to meet your individual needs in a personalized and holistic way. So we begin by getting to know each other.

about me

I have helped people overcome anxiety and depression, fight addiction, pick up the pieces after traumatic experiences and everything in between. Together we can set realistic, attainable goals so we can work together towards a life worth living. 

I spent my formative years growing up overseas in the middle east, traveling and experiencing different cultures. I love spending time with my family in and around Oklahoma City and the rest of gorgeous Oklahoma. I also enjoy photography, gardening, singing and anything else that takes me outdoors.

I am in-network with HealthChoice. If you have different insurance (or none), you simply pay the private pay rate and seek reimbursement through your insurance provider.
